The Gill

The Gill is a stream that winds its way through the Ramble, the most well-known of the Park’s woodland landscapes.

Although it looks natural, like most of the Ramble, it’s man-made. The water originates from a pipe hidden under a rocky ledge near the center of the Ramble, flows into Azalea Pond, and meanders down the hill before ending in a small cascade and emptying into the Lake. Several rustic bridges cross the stream and provide places to pause and enjoy the scenery.
