Merchants’ Gate Plaza
Merchants'
Gate Plaza is a welcoming public plaza at Central Park's southwestern
gate, its most popular entrance.
Head to the green awnings of the Columbus Circle Information Kiosk for information from knowledgeable Conservancy staff, or grab a seat on the low stone wall or designated seating area.
In the holiday season, the Columbus Circle Holiday Market operates from this plaza and features unique gifts from vendors selling all sorts of goods from food to candles to clothes. Be sure to stop by the Conservancy’s stall: Every purchase helps the Central Park Conservancy tend to all details of the Park’s maintenance and restoration so it remains clean and beautiful for all to enjoy.
